On the face of it, it just looks like another revenue generating scheme.

Who gets a share of this �480 per year that KJs are being asked to pay? The original artists? The Karaoke disc manufacturers? What % would they get?
Will Produb ever return here to answer our questions or did they just come here to dump the link & hope people start buying?

I think the pricing needs to be looked at. It's fair enough for the 1st year's licence which will see huge amounts of tracks copied but after the initial digitizing of the entire collection, tracks will only be copied a few at a time as we buy our monthly discs. To continue copying in the 2nd year we'll have to pay a minimum of �300 which may be more than the costs of the discs bought in a year...
Let's pick a 'typical' KJ with around 9,000 tracks ammassed over, say 10 years. This is going to cost him a not unreasonable �360 to digitise his collection. FOR THE FIRST YEAR. After the year is up he will need to digitise any recently bought tracks. It's taken him 10 years to collect 9,000 tracks so how many new ones will he be buying in his 11th year? Chances are it'll be less than 500 yet it's going to cost a whopping �300 to get a further licence to digitize them.
